And the less that is said about that crappy excuse for a game the better. And of course, it was this cartoon that led to the creation of the absolutely abysmal game “Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls”. And I already reviewed that miserable trainwreck so there’s no reason for me to go over that again.
DOUBLE DRAGON CARTOON VILLIANS MOVIE
But before it bit the dust the live action Double Dragon movie was made. The show first aired on television on September 12th, 1993, and ended on December 4th, 1994, lasting for 2 seasons and 26 episodes. And we all know what titles DIC is most famous for. And well, that’s pretty much what we got back in the day, courtesy of DIC Entertainment. And as such, a TV show had to be produced for it. The game became popular among gamers as one of the first beat em ups of the late 80s and early 90s. The animated TV series, simply known as “Double Dragon” was an American cartoon show based on the video game franchise by “Technos Japan Corporation”, who were also known for their Kunio Kun series. In fact, I’m just going to get straight to the point. But I’ve already went over that in earlier entries so I’m not going to flood this review elaborating on the franchise’s history again. I’ve went over the source material many times before, and I talked about it at great length. So what was the show about, might you ask? Well, if you’ve been a Double Dragon fan for as long as I have, then you should already be familiar with the franchise’s lore and history. You know, much like how the Ruby Spears Megaman cartoon was just called “Megaman” and not “Megaman: The Animated Series”. Or just “Double Dragon” as it was simply called. Well, now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into the subject for today Double Dragon the animated series. But before I do that, I want to personally thank FailSeeker for suggesting this subject to me.
DOUBLE DRAGON CARTOON VILLIANS SERIES
And this particular subject was suggested to me by none other than, so I figured, what better time than now to review yet another cartoon series based on a video game? Well, that’s what I’m about to do right now as I once again delve into the world of Double Dragon. I know I keep saying stuff like this in every one of my introductions, but I know that I’ve covered quite a number of titles before in the past. Hey, this is MDTartist83, and welcome to another retro TV review by yours truly.
